Snæfellsnes Peninsula Northern Lights
Posted on 26/2/25
The Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) are a natural phenomenon which are often elusive. In fact they are very elusive with not only the correct conditions existing out in space between the solar wind and the Earth's magnetic field and also the actual ability to see them with clear nights and no cloud cover. As you can imagine this combination of events does not occur every night. They had put on a display on 4 previous nights but conditions were not perfect although some images were taken. At 12:30 am however in between snow showers and the lights from the Olafsvik harbour they put on a show that lasted for around 40 minutes.

Lake Kerkini Pelicans
I had an amazing time on a photography trip to Lake Kerkini with a small group of friends. Our leader, Lee Frost, showed us some incredible spots and we took a ton of photos. The first morning was especially productive, and I got some shots I am very pleased with.
