Lake Kerkini Pelicans
Lake Kerkini in Northern Greece is home to the Dalmatian Pelican. The birds here are unique in that they are curious around humans and being fed treats or fish does make for some excellent photography. The Dalmatian Pelican is the largest freshwater bird with a wingspan of up to 180cm and weighing up to 15kg. The experience on the lake is amazing and many hours turned into days enjoying their antics especially when a fish was offered from the boat or the lakeside.
